Daily Inspiration

Today, was an incredible Sunday. I went to church and the message was so incredible. It was about how we can so often lose our joy and get sucked into the negative draw of this world. When we lose our peace, we lose our joy. As Christians and co-members with Christ, we have eternal hope and that is where we need to draw our strength from and our joy. This reminds me of a great song by Rita Springer called "The joy of the Lord". If you want to hear the message you can find it on ccgreenvalley.org and on Sunday's at 5:00 p.m. you can hear Pastor John on the radio, 90.1 or 106.9 f.m. pst

Faithbook Inspiration
Do you have pictures of your first home? When the foundation was being built? Here are some thoughts that might inspire you to scrap those pictures and include them in your faithbook.

As I was reading my daily "thru the word" which is simply 2 chapters a day, I was really inspired by Matthew 7:24-27. This was the parable of two builders and two foundations. In a nutshell you can either build on sand or rock. You tell me, which one is sturdier? Well rock of course! I thought back to the day Vic and I moved into our first home. I was pregnant with Lexi and was due in about a month. I felt so incredibly blessed by what the Lord had provided for us. I was a fairly new Christian but was on fire for the Lord.I didn't know that much other than the fact that God loved me and had a plan for my life. I wanted to live for Him and I wanted my family to live for Him. I knew that in my own strength this could not be accomplished so thus began my journey. Committed to learning more about God's word, and living according to His ways, I purposed in my heart to train my children the truth of God's word. I wanted to build our home on the ROCK, the solid rock that would never fall - JESUS CHRIST!

7 years later I see all the wondrous works of the Lord. In this home that He gave us, He has allowed us the privilege of raising two children, bringing us to Calvary Chapel where His word came alive and illuminated our life, to grow in the riches of His Word. He has truly made real the verse "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord". It has been an unbelievable journey, not always easy, but always blessed. For God works all things for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. These are not things that I always understood, but with God's grace and great love for me, He allowed me to grow into Him at my pace. Sometimes that was not quick enough but I am thankful that our God is so patient with us. 7 years later I know and understand that a house must be built on the ROCK, on the one true and living God! When you build upon the Rock, Jesus Christ, you will STAND!
